Positive solo experience I was recommended to use this travel group by various individuals at my resort and I had seen other positive reviews online and luckily my resort had direct links with the company. The resort was very helpful and called the company and I spoke to the most friendly, helpful and reassuring individual which out me at ease. Nothing wad too much trouble, I asked if I could travel along with someone if they were in the same area as me and they sorted out transfer there and back which also put my mum at ease. I paid the deposit through my hotel and paid the rest up front. I had my padi, insurance documents and my card at hand so thisbwas all handled extremely fast and I was able to get back to sorting out my equipment to join the other divers. The lady on the front desk was exceptionally friendly and happy which really is inpactful especially when you are solo. The dive master and captain were both fantastic helping you get in and out of the boat.It was choppy water but the dive sites they chose out of safety were also beautiful. I was paired up with a less experienced diver who had issues but the dive master identified this and put me in a thruple so I could experience the dive better. Orange slices were provided after the first dive. The only thing that was missing was some fluids. I brought my own as I'm always dehydrated during diving but would have been a great addition even if it was water. Would highly reccommend and would return to same company.

Me and two others completed our PADI Open Water Course on Mar 23, 24 at Barbados Blue with Sophie Stewart as our instructor. She was absolutely stellar. While our entire experience at Barbados Blue was pleasant, Sophie exceeded all of our expectations. From the outset she had an incredibly kind and gentle disposition, remembering all of our names and calling us by them from the beginning. The first confined water dive, the first "taste" of scuba, can be the dive where you feel a bit nervy. But Sophie demonstrated the skills with her own sass and flair... a method that put us at ease. The fact that she was able to do these skills and add her personality gave us the sense that the skills are not as daunting as they sound, and that we need not be worried! That's incredibly important especially in a sport where one should try to remain as calm as possible. Sophie exhibited a mastery of the technical and the softer skills. Even great teachers sometimes don't possess both. When we moved to our open water dives, we realised that her work is physically taxing, but nothing seemed to be an issue for her! Sophie always was happy to be there to help, to reassure, to answer questions! It is incredible how she manages to retain such a lighthearted and fun disposition despite the physical nature of her job. If any of us was venturing into potentially dangerous territory, e.g. surfacing too quickly, about to land on coral, Sophie was engaged and there to correct our behaviours. She was always "on". At the end of our two days, all of us remarked how we expected it to be great but didn't expect the service to be THAT great! Another honourable mention is the lady with locs and glasses who worked at the front desk (wish I asked for her name!). She was also a highlight... always warm and helpful whenever I called to ask questions before our dives. If she hadn't been so helpful and patient with me during booking, I'm not sure that we would have gone with Barbados Blue. Barbados Blue, they are absolute assets to your company! I hope you know this! Because of them, I will be coming back! Now I'm a PADI certified Open Water Diver and still reeling from the experience!

I had an excellent experience with Barbados Blue Water Sports. Andre responded promptly to my online enquires making it so easy to set up for the scuba dive trips prior to arrival. The staff are super helpful. The dive leads are all fun to be with, highly knowledgeable and safety conscious while allowing the more experienced divers to explore within their comfort zone. The little extra touches such as ginger tea after a chilly dive were greatly appreciated. When in Barbados, I'll be sure to scuba dive with them again.
