Specialty Dive Courses

Deep Diver
This course includes 4 open water dives over at least two days (60-130ft). Participating students must be at least 15 years of age and have a PADI Adventure Diver (or equivalent) certification. The deep dive completed in the PADI Advanced OW course may be used toward this specialty certification at the instructor’s discretion. Course fees include the PADI Deep-Pak.

Wreck Diver
This course includes 4 open water dives over two days (including the S.S. Stavronikita). Participating students must be at least 15 years of age and have a PADI Advanced OW (or equivalent) certification. If a wreck dive was completed in the student’s PADI Advanced OW course it may be used toward this specialty certification at the instructor’s discretion. Course fees include the PADI Wreck-Pak.

Underwater Digital Photography
This course includes 2 open water dives, and may include a night dive on special request if the participating student has completed the Adventure Night Dive. Participating students must be at least 10 years of age and have minimum certification of PADI Junior OW (or equivalent). A digital camera is provided for the student (where necessary) and the diver’s pictures will be made available to them by email, memory stick or CD. Course fees include the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer-Pak.

Underwater Videography
This course includes 3 open water dives. Participating students must be at least 10 years of age and have a minimum certification of PADI Junior OW (or equivalent). The camera will be provided (where necessary, advanced notice required) and the diver’s footage will be made available to them.

Marine Resource Management
This specialty course is a unique course taught by our instructors due to their academic training in Natural Resource Management and Marine Biology (M.Sc. level with current research published and ongoing). This course is individually designed based on the time of year/month that the course is undertaken, and, on the participating student’s interests. The course includes 3 open water dives. Participating students must be 10 years of age or older and they must be qualified as a Junior Scuba Diver or higher (or equivalent).

Project Aware Specialty Programme
The programme is a non-diving course consisting of classroom presentations on the underwater realm and the diving environment. It may be conducted as a stand-alone programme or in conjunction with other PADI Specialty Diver courses. To enroll participants need not be certified divers nor have any prior scuba or snorkeling experience. This course is recommended in conjunction with the Marine Resource Management Specialty.
Project Aware Coral Reef Conservation
As with the Project Aware Specialty programme there are no dives or skill requirements for this course. However, it’s highly recommended that this course be taken in conjunction with other PADI Specialty Diver course such as Peak Performance Buoyancy, Marine Resource Management, Underwater Photography and other programs such as Discover Snorkeling, Discover Scuba Diving, or Skin Diver course, etc. These programmes provide the skills practice and practical application of environmentally sound diving and snorkeling techniques.

Underwater Navigation
This course includes 3 open water dives. Participating students must be at least 10 years of age and have a minimum certification of PADI Junior OW (or equivalent). Course fees include the PADI Nav-Pak.

Peak Performance Buoyancy
This specialty course is designed to polish a diver’s buoyancy control beyond the Open Water Diver level. This course involves 2 open water dives which can be completed in as little as 1 day. Participating students must be at least 10 years of age and have a minimum certification of PADI Junior OW (or equivalent).

Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox)
