PAWARE Coral Watch
A new year has started so here we go, time to set a new schedule for the PADI Project AWARE Coral Watch. These dives are completed in Carlisle Bay Marine Park and help to monitor the status of the Barbados corals with respect to bleaching (colour loss due to a loss of the symbiont zooxanthellae within the coral tissue). Dives take place during our pre-arranged Bay dive at 2 pm. Data from this dive is sent to the coral watch database to assist with the global monitoring of coral health. If you are interested in being a part of this effort please contact us with your travel schedule. Divers should be certified, recently in the water and demonstrate good buoyancy to participate.
